Assistive Technology Spotlight: Replacing or Upgrading Equipment Seating

worn tractor seatFarmers spend an incredible amount of time operating equipment all year round. It might be hours in a tractor planting corn, or hours in a skid steer moving manure. Whatever the task, those long hours of bouncing around can take their toll on the farmer. Combined with a poorly padded seat and a back injury and it becomes excruciating or impossible to accomplish tasks.

Something as simple as a seat might not be the first thing individuals think of when considering assistive technology, but a new seat can have a huge effect. Having a proper seat can also prevent secondary injury and reduce the stress placed on an individual.

If your seat looks like the one pictured here, then it is time to consider a replacement seat. Contact us for more information on where to find the right seat.
